HOW TO REACH US

It depends where you arrive in Catania you can easily reach the Agorà Hostel with the AMT city bus,  with taxi or by foot. The AMT city bus ticket cost € 1,00. You have to buy the ticket before to get on the bus and validate it once on it. The taxi cost around € 10,00 from the train/bus station and around € 20,00 from the airport.

From the Train/Bus Station via AMT city bus
Catania Train Station (Catania Centrale) and Catania Bus Station (Via Archimede) are one next to the other. To reach the Agorà Hostel from one of it, go to the square of the train station and take the AMT city bus nr. 431N (NERA). Ask the driver to stop at the bar “ETOILE D’OR” (pron. Etual d’Or), which is just before the fish market area. With the bar "ETOILE D’OR" on your right (and the railway bridges on your left) you will see, a few meters in front of you, the fish market area (LA PESCHERIA) and a little road (Via Bottino) that rise up on a square with a church. The large building on the left side of the square is the Agorà Hostel. The entrance is at Number 6.
NB If you ask for informations ask for "L'OSTELLO". That is how the catanesi know us.
(Tips: "BAR ETOILE", “LA PESCHERIA”,  "L'OSTELLO")

From the Train/Bus Station by foot
Walk along “Via VI Aprile” and then “Via Vittorio Emanuele” and reach “Piazza Duomo” (the square with the Cathedral of Saint Agata and the Elephant Statue). At the bottom of “Piazza Duomo” you will see the “Fontana dell’ Amenano” (Amenano Fountain). Go behind the fountain, turn right and you will be inside the fish market area (LA PESCHERIA). You will see a church at about 100 meters away. Walk towards the church . The Agorà Hostel is on the left side of it.
NB If you ask for informations ask for "L'OSTELLO". That is how the catanesi know us.
(Tips: "PIAZZA DUOMO", “LA PESCHERIA”, "L'OSTELLO")

From the Airport (Catania Fontanarossa) via AMT city bus:
Take the AMT city bus nr. 457. When the bus enters Catania you will see the port on the right and then, on the left, a square, Piazza Borsellino, with lots of buses and a "MacDonald" on the side. As soon as the bus passes through one of the railway bridges and turns in the main street, Via Dusmet,  there is a stop where you should get off (ask the driver you wish to stop in Via Dusmet). From the bus stop of Via Dusmet walk back keeping the railway bridges on your left side (you will see a statue without the head and with the arm that seems to indicate the direction to the Agorà Hostel). Follow the railway bridges until you reach the last one. At the last bridge you will see the fish market area (LA PESCHERIA) and a little road (Via Bottino) that rise up on a square with a church. The large building on the left side of the square is the Agorà Hostel. The entrance is at Number 6.
NB If you ask for informations ask for "L'OSTELLO". That is how the catanesi know us.
(Tips: “PIAZZA BORSELLINO”, “VIA DUSMET”, "BAR ETOILE”, “ LA PESCHERIA”,
 "L'OSTELLO")

From the Port by foot:
Once you arrive in Catania by boat go outside the port passing through one of the railway bridges and turn left. Walk along the main road (Via Dusmet) keeping the railway bridges on your left side (you will see a statue without the head and with the arm that seems to indicate the direction to the Agorà Hostel).
(Tips: “PIAZZA BORSELLINO”, “VIA DUSMET”, "BAR ETOILE", “LA PESCHERIA”, "L'OSTELLO")
